Cyber attack on Irish health care system`s IT

How our surgery is affected:

  • Core work is not affected. If your appointment is to be rescheduled, we will contact you. You can still book a consultation and we can access your data.
  • All smear tests booked between 19th and 21st May will have to be rescheduled. Appointments from 24th May will go ahead as planned. Web booking on our website is active again.
  • If you received a blood form for a “routine check” you can go ahead and do them. See here for phlebotomy arrangements. (11/06/2021)
  • If you had a blood test done immediately before and after attack (12th – 14th May) we might never receive the result. Please contact surgery.
  • Covid vaccinations are going as planned. You can express your interest here. (11/06/2021)

How HSE is affected:

  • All up to date information about how other HSE services are affected can be found here.
  • Phone lines in hospital might not work.
  • Expect delays if attending Emergency Department.
  • Covid vaccination clinics in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital are delayed by about 3 weeks.

Neither Strand Medical Practice nor HSE will call you asking for your bank / credit card details telling that there is a refund due!
